ExciTES Summer Intern

Are you a full time, undergraduate student looking to do something ExciTING during the summer? The following opportunity might be just for you!

ExciTES Summer Intern (HR job code 0099)

Deadline for application submission is April 15, 2011 at midnight.

Responsibilities: facilitate engineering and science modules that are part of the larger ExciTES program which targets middle thru high school students. Other projects & tasks as assigned and directed by supervisor including trainings.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities: self-motivated to work and accomplish tasks. Ability to adapt quickly to change, and work effectively under ambiguous conditions with little supervision. Ability to work independently and as well as part of a team. Planning/organizing and teaching/classroom management skills desired.

Preferred: Undergraduate Education/Engineering/Computer Science major; must have been enrolled full-time in fall and spring semesters.

Desired overall GPA of 2.5 and above.

Pay and Benefits: ~$8.00/hr; 19-35 hrs/wk; flexible around your class schedule (seeking availability of students who are not taking summer school to handle the fast pace and volume of this program); no vacation/sick leave; this is a great way to springboard into your Engineering career.
